This week it’s Volunteers Week, so we’re truly grateful to our brilliant team of volunteers. We are busy preparing for Carers Week which is next week and we’ll soon be hosting a free Employer Academy event with the University of Bedfordshire on 26th June. At this free event you’ll learn how to foster a Disability Confident workplace, plus gain insights on effectively supporting employees who are carers. We’ve relaunched our retail shop
We are thrilled to announce that we have relaunched our retail shop. Our new shop is based at our Mayfield Centre in Dunstable, where you can pop in and shop a variety of disability equipment and mobility aids.

Breaking Barriers: The Introduction of British Sign Language as a GCSE and its transformative impact on inclusion
Earlier this year it was announced by the government that, as of September 2025, British Sign Language (BSL) will be taught as a GCSE in England. Here at The Disability Resource Centre, we are thrilled by this news and fully support this significant step to equality.
